Roger Stone, a seasoned political consultant, faces charges after audio of him making threats about the deaths of Democratic congressmen surfaced. Mediaite got a hold of the video of Stone making the threats against Rep. Jerry Nadler (NY) and Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA) while he was talking to an NYPD officer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a few weeks before the 2020 election. Stone denied saying those things and asserted that AI was manipulating him.
Stone has reiterated that the audio has been digitally altered and denies discussing any plans to harm Democratic lawmakers. So far, people have called for a criminal investigation into Stone’s remarks on the audio. Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller found him guilty of lying to Congress during the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, but Trump released him.
For his documentary A Storm Foretold, Danish filmmaker Christoffer Guldbrandsen caught Stone saying, “F*** the voting, let’s get right to the violence,” the day before the 2020 election. Stone added that the videos of him were very much fakes and that what he said was just a joke.
Greco watched over Stone while he went to the election protests in Washington, D.C., on January 6, 2021, before the Capitol riot. He didn’t say that Stone wasn’t telling the truth about what he said about Swalwell and Nadler.
