Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci has compared the choice between former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden to “demented” and “dementia.” He has spoken out against voting for Trump in 2024. Scaramucci, who served in the Trump White House for just 10 days, suggested that Nikki Haley as a potential running mate for Trump because she fills many slots that he needs. He also discussed Trump’s previous runs for president, noting that Trump ran without an incumbent in 2016 and as the sitting president in 2020.
Scaramucci suggested that the power of incumbency makes someone like Governor Haley “not a bad choice” for President Trump. He served in Trump’s administration for 11 days. When asked about Trump’s controversial remarks regarding “poisoning the blood” of the country, Scaramucci replied that the ex-president knew he was using “dog whistles” for white supremacists.
During an interview with CNN NewsNight host Abby Phillip, Scaramucci questioned why Trump continued to make concerning comments, stating that he only spent 11 days in the White House but worked on the campaign for Trump for about nine-and-a-half months. He said that Trump knows exactly what he’s doing and puts things out there with a forked tongue.
